This International Retreat will be held at Paramita Retreat Centre in Quebec, Canada. People from all over the world are welcome. We will give priority for this retreat to people living abroad or outside the Quebec province.
All of Buddha's teachings are for the practice of 2 qualities : calm-abiding (shamatha) and special insight (vipashyana). As a foundation, calm-abiding is most important. To know how to practice and attain calm-abiding, it is of utmost importance the receive the authentic instructions coming from the Buddha. Maya Bélanger, Buddhist Chaplain and Teacher at Paramita Centre for more than 10 years, will be the instructor and retreat leader.
In this retreat, there will be 4 sessions / day including instructions and meditation practice. You will receive the whole instructions on how to achieve calm-abiding, such as :
