About the event

Meditation on Compassion for Nonviolence in the World

with LAMA SAMTEN for Sakadawa (Buddha's Awakening date) - FREE

Today is the fifteenth day, or full moon, of the fourth Tibetan lunar month. Sakadawa means "moon of the Saka constellation" in the Tibetan calendar, in which the 15th day of the month is considered to be the day Siddhartha Gautama was born. A few years later, on the same day he achieved full enlightenment, and a few more years later he passed into parinirvana (left this body).

Lama Samten will guide a meditation and give a teaching on compassion and how to develop it. This quality is necessary to bring peace to our world.

Hope to see you!
